We are Thankful

Mairin is thankful for Indians. 
Melanie is thankful for her teachers. 
Kacey is thankful for his bunk bed. 
Ishaal is thankful for her family. 
Tyrese is thankful for his teachers. 
Brookelyn is thankful for her class. 
Nevaeh is thankful for Ms. Wall. 
Khalil is thankful for his teachers helping others. 
Zachary is thankful for the world.
Sofi is thankful for Brookelyn.
Elizabeth is thankful for her little brother William.
Adam is thankful for his sister.
Katlyn is thankful for teachers that work hard to help us learn.
Samantha is thankful for Mrs. Kozlosky and Mrs,. Gengler, Miss Gang and Miss April.
Aviona is thankful for her new friends and her new school.
Brynn is thankful for her brother Blayne.
Maggie is thankful for Caleb because he is a good brother and Jack because he carries me a lot.
Liliah is thankful for Elizabeth because she is a nice friend in our class.
Da'Zerius is thankful for Zachary because he is a good friend.
Collin is thankful for his bear because his bear makes him feel safe.
Hannah is thankful for her grandma.
Sarai is thankful for her little puppy named Nana.
Daniel is thankful for Jesus because he is nice and his pet fish and his pet crabs.
Christian is thankful for his chess board and playing with his mom and dad.
Alexzandra is thankful for her family because they are so nice to her. She is thankful for her brother who hugs her every time she comes home from school.
Connor is thankful for Aviona because it's fun to have a new student.
Henry is thankful for his brother Will because he plays with Henry all the time.
Grayson is thankful for the food he eats after school and his mommy.
Aiden is thankful for Zachary because he is a good friend.
Janaii is thankful for her cat Pearl.

We have a new student. Her name is Aviona. She is fun to play with. She is pretty. She is nice. Brynn colored two pictures for her. She is Maggie's new partner. We can already tell she is going to be a great friend. Elizabeth made a picture for her in Daily 5. Aviona said, "I think it was fun being here." 

We wondered how many seeds could we find in an apple. We ate an apple. We found some seeds. We counted our seeds and put them in a plastic baggie. We all found and counted different numbers. Katlyn found 3 seeds.  Khalil found 4 seeds. Ishaal also found 4 seeds. Nevaeh and Jacey found the most. They found 7.  Janaii said, "Apples are fun to eat".

We just planted some seeds. They were onions, carrots and radishes. Those are roots. We are going to water them. We planted them because we are learning about plants. Vegetables are healthy. Miss Gang said, "I can't wait to see them grow!" 

We had Jefferson Fest today.  We had it today because we will be getting report cards and it is the end of the quarter.  At the end we did a dance with Ms. Sage.  Mrs. Wall called some of us to stand up to receive awards.  Brynn said, "I had fun."

We colored fruits and vegetables on post its. We are going to be learning more about fruits. We colored over our flip book from yesterday to make it look prettier. We wrote leaf on a poster and Mairin added a picture of lettuce. We wrote roots on our poster and Daniel add a radish. We wrote stem on our poster and Da'Zerius added celery. We wrote flower on our poster and Brookelyn added a picture of broccoli. Elizabeth said, "All this talking about food is making me hungry!"

We learned about the parts of a plant. We read books about plants. Some of them were about cacti. Now we want to know if we can eat a cactus plant. We watched Brain Pop. We made pictures on a flip book about the parts of a plant. Nevaeh said, "The think lesson was fun".
