We had a special gym class. Mrs. Rock and Mr. Rock and baby rock were rolling over on us. We were the train tracks and they were the trains. The rock family is really a little ball, a medium ball and a big ball. We played Just Dance Two. We did Jingle Bells. We had to put our hands up in the air and try to pass the big ball. We had to balance the balls. Aubrey said, "We had a really fun day today."

Look! It's Snowing.
It snowed today. Some of us made a mini snowman. Krystal made a little cat out of the snow. We made snowballs. The rule on our playground is Don't Throw Snow. If we do, we have to sit on the wall. Tomorrow we will remember to bring snowpants and snow boots and hats and gloves. We looked out the window and what did we see? Snow! Brookelyn said, " It was cool!"

Happy Holidays
This week will be busy here at school getting ready for the winter break. We are assessing math, reading and writing skills and making new goals. We are working on holiday crafts and playing holiday games. Most importantly, we are counting down the days until Christmas.
On Friday, Santa will be visiting all of the students and eating a pancake breakfast with the kindergarteners. In the afternoon, we are going to find out what would happen if we took a mouse to the movies. If you haven't yet turned in the cost for this fun day, please send it to school ASAP.
We hope you have a wonderful holiday making memories with your family.

Welcome to December!
It is hard to believe that it is already December and we are preparing for the holidays. We have two fun activities coming up that your child will be participating in. Santa is coming and eating breakfast with the Kindergartners and we are taking a literary walk through the book "If you Take a Mouse to the Movies". The cost of these activities is $5 for the kindergarten and $2 for the first graders. Please send it to school by Monday.
Our Stone Soup smelled delicious and tasted even better. Thank you for sending in the ingredients. We also had a great time singing in the winter sing. I video taped the concert and will be selling DVD's for $5.00. A note will be sent home next week.

Today we will write about Math. We did 3D things. We switched around to different stations. At one station we had to see if a 3D shape could roll, slide or stack. One of the stations was I Pads. We played a game with a paperclip and pencil spinner to get a 3D Shape. Spin Again means get another turn. We played with 2D shapes too. Janaii said, "Math is fun!"

It's beginning to look like Christmas!
We put up our Santa countdowns. We have a December calendar up on the wall. We made presents with glitter. Mrs. Gengler hung up her stocking. Samantha said, "I made 2 presents with blue glitter".

Fun with Shapes
We learned about shapes. There were 2D and 3D shapes. We sorted objects. Some of them were cones and some were cylinders. We sorted snacks and then ate them. Yum.
